Welcome to 3D Printing at the UF Libraries!
What is the process?
- Submit your .stl file(s) via the online form.
- We review your order and send you a quote.
- After payment, we print your design and email when it’s ready for pickup.
How much does it cost?
It’s $0.15/gram of filament, with a $3 minimum charge.
Can I print if I’m not UF-affiliated?
Yes! All members of the community can use this service.
What are the maximum XYZ print dimensions?
Approximately 10.5″ x 10.5″ x 9.5″ (266.7mm x 266.7mm x 241.3mm). Larger jobs can be printed in parts and then fused together.
What materials do you offer?
Our 3D printers use PLA (polylactic acid) filament, a bioplastic made from corn starch or sugar cane. We stock a variety of colors.
What if I need resin, metal, or another material?
Check out the DCP Fab Lab at Infinity Hall!
Where are the 3D printers located?
Most of our 3D printers are in the Makerspace at Marston Science Library.
