Free DIY Mini 3D Printing

This experimental walk-up service is available only on our Monoprice Select Mini V2 3D printer during Makerspace Open Lab hours! Maximum build volume is 120 × 120 × 120 mm.

To slice your STL file: UltiMaker Cura has a “Monoprice Select Mini V2 (E3D)” preset, or create a custom profile in any slicing software with the settings in the user manual. Select “Generic PLA” for the filament. Adjust settings such as infill, supports, brim, etc. Export the printable GCODE onto the included microSD card and insert into the printer.

Bring your own 1.75 mm PLA filament, or choose from the portions in the dehydrator. Use the digital scale to ensure there’s enough filament for your model.

Insert filament according to the user manual or this YouTube tutorial. Then run your print!
